and the lab results say....

that little A has salmonella!! which is why she has been so sick for so long.....those darn chicken nuggets from a restaurant that used to be my favorite place to eat at the beach.

she is on the mend, but we are still pretty home bound, and J is getting to spend lots of time at the pool with our wonderful friends. Here are some layouts...i've been getting lots done being at home, and i have a few more projects that i need to upload.

talk about not wanting to come home...

we returned from a lovely vacation to wake up in the middle of Sat with a sick kiddo....and I mean sick, like rotavirus sick.

so little A and i have been house bound.....she has been sleeping a ton...i've been doing laundry, cleaning up my scraproom, and i did a few layouts. this is all happening while J and dad are out having a good ole' time, hanging at the pool with friends....talk about unfair

the official start of summer

the pool opened yesterday, and of course, we went...even though the water was a chilling 71 degrees. in a few weeks we will head to the beach, makes me want to spend the whole summer there, but tom probably won't like being in hot, hazy and humid hometown all by himself.
i aged this photo at this cool site, lots of fun, i have more aged photos then i know what to do with...another great internet timewaster.

keep it in perspective

today was little A's last day of preschool, with the usually happy, End of the year program. well, the director told us that one of our school family's had lost their little girl from a sudden illness early this week. i knew the family casually and we have mutual friends. I can't imagine the pain they are suffering. so as we all rush around to sports practices and end of the year school events, losing our paitence with our little and not so little ones, keep it in all in perspective.

On a much, much lighter note.....I won the blog give away at
Scarlet Lime

Christy puts together some great and interesting kits, with lots of variety. so check it out.

Also, my girl Debbie Hodge is starting a new class. If you haven't done one of Debbie's classes it is a must. She is so creative and her hands have so much information. I have printed off all her hand outs from previous classes to house in my very own Debbie Hodge binder...how cool is that!

The Designer Girl gallery for May is up at Scrapbooks.com I am always amazed at the talent and variety of layouts from this team. Not mention every one is super cool!

enjoy the weekend!

something different

with the warm weather and the kiddos sports, i haven't been home much to do anything, let alone scrapbook. so i decided to do some more digital layouts. i did a few hybrid layouts for my Scrapbooker of the Year entry, but really didn't do much after that. since i have lack of time at home and lack of mojo for paper...digital has been the answer.

now i will preface this with.. I am not the best digi scrapper, but it is satisfying my creative need. anywho here are a few of the lastest.
